Finishing Line

Finishing Line

This automated line improves processing efficiency. Racks leaving the broaching machine are transferred automatically to the first finishing station and processed through to final oiling, ready for assembly. The line comprises tooth-end deburring and washing, hardening, rack straightening, tooth-surface deburring, polishing of the rack back and shaft, flaw detection and demagnetization, and final washing, air drying, heat drying and oiling. The case describes one-operator production with a cycle time below 30 seconds.

MSG Steering Assembly Line

MSG Steering Assembly Line

MSG steering assembly line. At the time of this project report, nine lines had been manufactured, with a normal production cycle below 30 seconds. A data management system supports production tracking, monitoring and traceability. Some machines operate fully automatically, transferring workpieces between processing and inspection stations on carriers. Straight layouts use an upper workpiece transfer level and lower fixture return level; loop layouts use a single level. Error-proofing, inspection and monitoring support assembly quality. Test equipment records parameter changes in real time and displays and stores test results as tables and curves.

Fully Automatic Dual-Station Centering & Pin Insertion Machine

Fully Automatic Dual-Station Centering & Pin Insertion Machine

This machine automates centering, drilling, reaming, pin insertion and inspection for electric power steering components. It was developed as a domestic alternative to imported equipment, addressing consumable use, cycle time, data accuracy, operating range and reliability. Functions include mechanical and electrical centering, spot drilling, drilling and reaming, pin pressing with force evaluation, cooling while keeping the workpiece clean, automatic station changeover, data monitoring, storage and traceability. The original project report describes performance comparable with equivalent Japanese, European and American equipment.

Fully Automatic Rack Shaft Straightening Machine

Fully Automatic Rack Shaft Straightening Machine

The workpiece is held between driven and follower centers. A variable-speed motor rotates the driven center, transmitting rotation through the workpiece to the follower. A measuring device linked to the movable supports measures total indicator reading (TIR), while an optical encoder at the follower center identifies its angular position. The computer determines the location and direction of maximum bending, stops rotation with that point facing upwards, and calculates the correction using the measured TIR and set parameters. A PLC controls clamping and release, support selection, worktable movement, and rapid and slow ram feed.

Fully Automatic Screw Straightening Machine

Fully Automatic Screw Straightening Machine

The screw straightening machine supports multiple stations, with the station count increased or reduced as required. It uses a portal frame, supports sectional measurement and incremental straightening, and uses a servo motor as its power source for hydraulic-free straightening.

Rotor Balancing Machine

Rotor Balancing Machine

This single-station balancing tester is suitable for general-purpose rotors. It uses the influence coefficient method to measure balance at selected speeds and precisely locates two-plane correction positions for either mass addition or removal. It supports convenient changeover and operation.

Rack Deburring Machine

Rack Deburring Machine

This rack deburring machine uses electromagnetic force to move fine stainless-steel media rapidly across workpiece bores and surfaces. The resulting friction removes burrs and also provides cleaning and polishing. Applications described in the original case include bore deburring and fine finishing, oxide-film removal, polishing of oil-marked surfaces, rust removal, removal of dark sintering marks, jewelry finishing and cleaning, and deburring of narrow gaps.
